Shipping and Delivery Information

Do you ship your cupcakes?
Yes! We gladly ship cupcakes by the dozen, or full sized cakes (6" or 8"). Both are shipped with one flavor of frosting on the side. We also ship smaller quantities of unfrosted cupcakes.

Can I freeze your products?
Cookies (shelf life: approximately 4-5 days from shipping date)
Place your cookies in an airtight container at room temperature. If you'd like to freeze your cookies, first wrap them in wax paper then either foil or plastic then in an air tight container for a maximum shelf life of 1 month. When ready to eat place them on a cookie sheet and heat at 325 degrees for 6 minutes.

Loaves, brownies, crumb cakes and muffins (shelf live approximately 4-5 days from shipping date) have a five day shelf life upon shipping. When goodies are received, place them in an air tight container and keep in the refridgerator. Reheat in an oven at 325 degrees until it reaches desired crispiness (about 6-8 minutes).

Cakes, loaves and brownies may also be frozen and should be good for about 2 months. Wrap your cake in wax paper then foil or plastic wrap, then place in an air tight container. Move it from your freezer to your refrigerator to let it thaw a day before you plan to eat it. The following day, let it finish thawing for several hours at room temperature.

Can we substitute items on shipping list?
Because we are a small facility and dealing with high volume, we are unable to do so at this time

How are Babycakes' items shipped?
We recommend next day air via FedEx due to the fact that our products don't have preservatives. To get a guideline estimate for your shipped order, call one of our bakeries.

When do you ship?
BabyCakes NYC ships nationally via Fed Ex overnight on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Since we are a small bakery, we ask that all shipment orders be placed at least 48 hours before the shipping date. Shipping orders do tend to book up, please place your order as far in advance as possible. We take shipment orders Monday through Friday between 10:00 and 5:00 EST.

What if I am not home when the post person comes?
BabyCakes is not responsible if the customer is not at home when packages arrive. Additionally, we are not responsible if there are unfortunate circumstances (i.e. weather, road conditions, etc...) beyond our control that would prohibit FedEx from delivering your baked goods on time.

Does Babycakes deliver in New York City?
Yes! It is a $21 delivery fee for all deliveries below 59th Street. From 60th - 70th Streets the charge is $25. Any deliveries between 71st Street and 96th Street are $30. We deliver every day and ask that orders be placed at least 48 hours in advance. Our delivery slots do tend to book up, so please call as far in advance as possible. Orders can be placed Monday through Friday between 10:00 and 5:00 EST.

How to Care For Your Products

If you do not wish to immediately consume your BabyCakes NYC products, freeze in an airtight container. Desserts will last up to about a month.

For fresh taste and soft texture, place your baked goods in a toaster oven for two minutes. It will taste oven-fresh! (Tip: wait until cupcakes cool before frosting).

The frosting your received still needs a little more work before you can use it. Place the container in the refrigerator overnight. The frosting will thicken to an almost perfect consistency. Last thing you need to do is to take container out of refrigerator right before you intend to use it and stir it until creamy.

Insider Tips

Your fellow customers give you the inside scoop on how to make BabyCakes NYC taste even better or resuscitate your day-old goods

To improve on perfection, microwave the frosted spelt vanilla cupcake for 15 seconds. Its flavor will take on new dimensions. It's soft, warm and tastes even better than a Twinkie. (FYI frosting will melt a bit).

Freezing the brownies enhances its fudgey taste.

The blueberry crumb tastes freshly baked when popped in the oven for five minutes at 325 degrees. Sauce cake and serve warm.

Toast the cornbread and add jam to make it taste kind of like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Bring biscuits back to life by re-baking them for four minutes at 350 degrees.

May sound crazy, but one of our customers insist that the double chocolate crumb tastes great when blended with soy shakes.

HEy I noticed you are opening aplace in Cali
PLEASE OPEN A place in austin texas!

don't laugh YES THERE are people here that care for animals and are vegans with special food req.
I mean, I hope there are - since I moved from Cali to Austin.
Okay it sucks here for people who care about their bodies and what they put in them,

I beg you please come here and open a lovely shop.
it would be brilliant.

Much success to you and I wish you would open a place here puleeze

Texas and Austin MUST come in to the real world and eat better and treat all animals better everyday

I would love it if You would consider Houston, TX.
My daughter is 16 and we just found out she has Gluten allergies. It is pure torture for her to walk through the Bakery at the store now. She is a huge cupcake fan along with a weakness for cookies.

Wish you much sucess in California !

How about opening up a place in Boston!! I just visited your bakery for the first time and it was one of the highlights of my trip! I actually got to eat a cupcake on my birthday! It may sound silly, but it is a big deal when you've missed out on stuff like that for awhile. Thank you so much for working so hard to make such great treats for those who can't eat much!!!

Any chance you'll be opening up in Canada? I don't get to NYC too often. I was so sad at the prospect of never having yummy sweets again since I am intolerant to wheat, sugar, artifical sweetners and dairy. Your bakery gives me hope.

Hey, now, don't forget Dallas/Fort Worth, TX!

Buy the book and start baking, dude.

What a wonderful idea! Please come to Charleston, SC! We would welcome you with open arms! Keep up the great work! Love, Amy

Absolutley!! We just moved to Austin from South FL and this would be a great spot for Babycakes, this town is booming right now!

think about philly for a great new location!!!!!!!!! we would LOVE YOU here!!!!!!!!!!!1

Do you ship outside the U.S? (To Sweden for example :-) )

Las vegas please!!!!!

Oh how i wish you would ship the Canada!!! Please, please, please. I'm going out to pick up your book later! I'm looking into eating vegan inspired by Alicia's book and would love some great cupcake recipes... they're my fav!

While we are on the subject of new locations - Detroit suburbs would be great. Troy/Birmingham area would be awesome and I have alot of friends who are either celiac or just eat gluten-free for a better way of life, including my family. Please come here :) we wold love to have you.

I can see you're bombarded with new location requests. I think Chicago would be PERFECT! Here's why: smack dab in between LA and NYC, and conveniently named "2nd city".....sooo...it makes the most sense, really! ; )

I have wheat, dairy and soy allergies so I was ecstatic when I discovered your bakery. I visited last Thanksgiving and was over the moon when I tried your cupcakes, brownies and donuts. I also liked how the staff somehow had that retro pinup girl vibe (I found the look to be very "Babycakes by day, burlesque by night"). In any case, maybe you'd like to open a store in D.C. There is definitely a market for your products, and since you guys use low-glycemic sweeteners, it coincides really well with Mrs. Obama's "Let's Move" program. Here's hoping!

Please, please, please consider Philadelphia, PA for a bakery location! :)

Philly is a wonderful, big city that is full of vegetarian/ vegan cafes and restaurants. Your bakery would be a HUGE hit, for sure! I don't live right in Philly, about a hour away but there is so many people like me that travel to the city often for the vegan resturants and so many people that live right in the city taking advantage of what they have so close by. I know your bakery would go over so well. After having a wonderful vegan meal out, people could swing by your bakery! I know I would be at your bakery all the time!

FOR ALL OF YOU WANTING STORES NEAR YOU GET THE COOKBOOK ITS EASY TO FOLLOW AND THEY TURN OUT GREAT. ANY QUESTIONS ON THE COOKING IS EASY YOU GET THE ANSWERS RIGHT ON THE WEB PAGE,,,,GIVE IT A TRY THEN YOU'LL ALWAYS HAVE FRESH BABY CAKES DAILY' I DO!!!!

SO great for people with food allergies!! I havent had a donut in 6 years...SO good!! Since you have one on the east and west coast, I think you need to open one up in the Midwest! say... Minneapolis Minnesota? :)

Hi, I just heard about your bakery on the Food Channel's Unique Eats and I'm totally psych I'm vegan living in the southm can you imagine? Haha Well I'm sending my order in now !!!!

Hi please open a store in Miami beach! Plenty of health concious vegans living in south beach :) we'd love to have you!

I just saw you on Unique Eats. I would love to see a Babycakes in Chicago!

Please open a location in Atlanta, GA

I am so happy to find this bakery online & can't wait to order some goodies for my baby shower. Everything looks amazing & I am excited to buy the cookbook. Thank you for loving to bake for us who desperately want to eat delicious treats again. Please keep sunny AZ in mind for another wishful location. I would luv to bake for you! Besides the dairy, egg, casien, soy, wheat intolerance I am also not good with corn. Do many of your goods contain corn or are there ingredient listings for them?

how about beautiful boulder, co? we dont have a bakery in town that tailors to vegan's/folks with food allergies!

K

I am so excited about trying your goodies. I have 3 children & my 1 yr old food pipe allergies to wheat, soy, corn, egg, milk products. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he finally gets to have his own cupcake, like his brother & sister!

D

Thank God there is a place to turn to when you just can't stand it anymore and have to have BREAD or CAKE ! Thank you so much, and is there anything that one could do to open such a place in Eastern North Carolina ?

So glad I saw you on Unique Eats on the Cooking channel TV. My son is allergic to wheat, dairy and eggs. I would love to have some cupcakes from you guys for him to try. Also, so happy that you have a store here in LA =D

Hi,

We live in Canada and visited NYC recently. My kid has gluten, dairy, egg allergies. Your store is heaven sent. She has not eaten any good treats for the past 6 months and had her fill in your store. We even bought some to bring home with us. Thank you! Are you planning to open a store in Toronto area? You should! We have been singing your praises to all our friends since we returned.

Sue

I think Cherry Hill, NJ would be a perfect place for one of your bakerys. There are alot of people here with special dietary needs and the only place for them to go is a whole foods in marlton; and trader joes which is to tiny. Many of the people in Cherry Hill just don't have the time to get over to Whole Foods and would love to have your bakery here. Please consider opening a shop in or close by Cherry Hill, NJ.

WASHINGTON DC NEEDS BABYCAKES!!! Please open here in DC (-:

PLEASE open a shop in Chicago !!!!!! :)

Please open one in Raleigh, North Carolina( the capital of the state- lots of interested people here!) We would love to see you here.

would like to order whoopie pies

In a attempt to make my daughters 19th Birthday as special as she is , I searched the internet for days , looking for the perfect VEGAN Birthday Cake. Just moments ago , we sang , she blew out the candles , and ...... WHAM ! We discovered that this , by far, is the WORST cake EVER!.. . Well , if you enjoy sawdust and spackel , it just might be your cup of tea , but , I am near tears at the amount I paid for this unbelieveable , uneatable $80.00 paper weight. It arrived ontime , I have to give you that , but it was flat on one side , not enough frosting to cover it , and the cake itself does not resemble anything near a cake. Sorry Baby Cakes .... never gonna do this again ! I could have frosted a piece of granola bar, at least there would have been flavor. How can you have a website , market , and sell something and charge so much money for without first perfecting your recipe ? Zero flavor to the cake. It doesnt even have a cake like texture.

Very sad that you actually send these things out. We were truly expecting something special and tasty. Please eat one of these , then re-think what you can do to improve. Again , so disapointed.

I really wish they would add a store in Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. This way, it would not take me long to get there. I know SC is out of the question. LOL

Chicago needs a babycakes!!!

Please please open one in westchester county new york i am addicted to your brownies !!!!!

Pleeease come to Dallas, Texas! Please, please, please!

Just got back from NYC. I am still haunted by the perfect cake donut with chocolate icing. I wish those were on the shipping list! Please open a place in Nashville.

Just got back from NYC. I am still haunted by the perfect cake donut with chocolate icing. I wish those were on the shipping list! Please open a place in Nashville.

Please open in DC!!!! We have a LOT of people on special diets here! I am an organizer for a support group for autism, and hundreds of kids I know are on the gluten free, dairy free, egg free, soy free diet. We all would LOVE to have Babycakes here!!!

I agree with the DC comment. I would suggest Baltimore a bit more though... Your bakery is wonderful and it would be great to have access all of the time!

How can you not have a store in Washington D.C.??? Oh well, for now I will just have to order from the NY store.

After spending over $70 on cupcakes I would have thought that we would have enjoyed them better. Instead we tried to eat hockypucks in the shape of cupcakes. They were hard, dense and crumbled when frosted. We were all saddened by this, we had such high hopes for gluten free vegan baked goods.

Unfortunately Baby Cakes left a nasty taste in our mouth.

Don't have enough cash to buy a car? You should not worry, just because that's possible to receive the loans to work out all the problems. So get a bank loan to buy all you want.

We just returned from a trip to Disney World and visited your bakery at Downtown Disney twice while there. The brownie cupcakes, the chocolate dipped donuts, and the chocolate chip cupcakes were our favorites! It made my (gluten free) son so happy to be able to order whatever he wanted at a bakery! Thank you so much! I just wish we had a place like this in Austin, Texas. I am still dreaming about those donuts!
