I would love an amazing cookbook with recipes for my child with autisic tendencies. He's gluten, soy, casein free, and just tested high for yeast--so a low sugar treat would be incredible for him. I'm a stay at home mom, so finances are tight (including the testing, therapy, and supplements he receives) But, receiving a free autographed cookbook would make an awesome, heartfelt, belated Mother's Day gift!
I am a 58 year old female in good general health. However, I have fibromyalgia, and I have observed that certain foods (wheat, dairy) seem to intensify symptoms.
Additionally, my blood sugar tends to run high (128 ish) and I do have diabetes in my family history. Being a cancer survivor, I am in tune to foods that are toxic, but I find that I crave them. After doing a little research on the subject, I think that a gluten free , sugar free diet could be advantageous for me. I would hope that the recipies in your cookbook could lessen those cravings.
They look awesome.
Hmmmm... Well, I just watched Erin on Martha Stewart - had to record & watch as my friend was in the hat show audience - and loved the chocolate chip cookies, think she's a bit nutty but love her anyway. And, lovely font for "babycakes". I would be honored to have her book in my kitchen.
Like many celiacs, my inability to have gluten was brought on by a debilitating accident that altered my life in every way from my career to my diet. I feel fortunate that I am alive in this particular part of history because now there is such an awareness of this disease and so many wonderful alternatives. I discovered Babycakes Bakery right before my 30th birthday. After sitting out for the cake at numerable birthday parties, weddings and other celebrations it was such a blessing to finally be able to have gluten-free cake that no one else could tell was gluten-free.
Erin Mckenna is the goddess of vegan baked goods. The time an effort that it took to create the bakery and ultimately the cookbook was worth every sweet, delicious minute. It would be a delight to be able to cook some seriously satisfying treats at home when I can't always make it downtown to pick up my favorite cupcakes. The cookie sandwiches make me melt. It is no surprise that BabyCakes has become an acclaimed bakery that everyone can enjoy, even those with sensitive tummies.
Although I have no allergies to food I believe in veganism and love nothing more than baking vegan goodies. I would love to try making your delicious desserts! Perfect for any and every day!
<3
Wow, Erin ..... Gday from Oz..
Fantastic...
Always looking for a saviour for recipes for food allergy's...
As I am soooo far from New York to sample a taste, an autographed copy of your 'babycakes' would be a great start to better health...
My sister has just found out she needs to live a gluten-free, dairy-free life and she's having a tough time with it.
She saw you on the Martha Stewart Show and she is ECSTATIC about your sandwich cookies!
She's my best friend in the world and I would really like to give her the gift of your cookbook. Anything to make this transition a little easier.
Well, I am a young German vegan and it's so hard to find here some good and animal free stuff. So, I have to bake on my own! But there are even no good vegan cookbooks here, specially for baking... and so I would be so glad to have your book here, to make my own yummy cupcakes!
I was beyond excited and encouraged to see your segment on the Martha Stewart Show last week. My mother has Celiac disease and therefore on a gluten free diet. She has been discouraged for years over the difficulty of finding and producing gluten free baked goods. I'm hosting a surprise birthday party for her and would love to make a bunch of items from your book for the event. I would then pass along the cookbook to her as a gift which I'm sure would be as welcomed as the long-distance family members traveling to surprise her.
I was laid off from my job several weeks ago and my husband has taken a large pay cut due to the tough economy. I now stay at home with my young daughter and look for fun ways to pass the time with her.
Your cookbook would be a cherished possession in more ways than one.
You rock! I just got me copy of the book from my library (I had to wait a verrrrrry long time and so it would be awesome to have my own!). My vegan family and I sat down to look it through. We had to stop at every page because my son (4 year's old) and husband (let's just say 29) had to oooo and ahhhhh at every picture (and my husband had to comment on every famous person he recognized, like he was their best friend).
I chose my recipe for my very own special Mother's Day treat and sent my husband to the store. When he got back I went to work right away and made the chocolate, chocolate chip cookies and the vanilla frosting. Then we assembled the lovely cookie sandwich and sat down to eat them.
Mmmmm. We attend a gluten-free, vegan, and peanut free potluck every month with good friends (a family substitute brunch) and I can't wait to make your recipes (I'm kind of known as the baker in the bunch) for my friends. It would be much easier to do that with my own book since I sadly have to give back the one I have in 2 weeks.
Thanks so much for the free offer- that's awesome and kind. And thanks again for the recipes.
Hey there, i was hoping to win a cookbook too, but you have to click on the link and post your original and creative comments on the frisky website, not this one - you also need to be resident in the US, which i'm not. Good luck to those of you are, I hope you can come up with something creative!
Erin, I have ordered the book on Amazon and I am waiting to get it soon. Congratulations on the book!!!! I have seen some recipes already and I am super excited to try them for myself!!!!
Best wishes.
Mary
I've been wanting to visit NYC and go to Babycakes ever since I first read about their fabulous frosting shots, among other things, in a copy of VegNews several years ago.
It was so exciting to hear that there was going to be a cookbook available after all those visits I've made to the website just to look at all the luscious pictures.
I can't wait to be able to create them myself.
I have patiently awaited the arrival of the Cookbook for a looooong time...since way before the book was even written. I have ordered from Babycakes several times over the past few years, and it has truly been a God-send for my autistic 5-year-old son. I would get in the kitchen and spend hours trying to bake cookies and sweets that he would enjoy, only to throw them all away 5 minutes later. Then, lo and behold, someone told me about BabyCakes and I actually had to hide the cookies from him. Because we live so far away, the shipping kills us and we are limited to the # of orders we can make in a year due to our extensive therapy and doctor's costs (in other words, we're broke). An autographed copy of the book would be the BESTEST gift for myself and my son, your 2 greatest fans. Thanks and God bless you.
MY GOSH you should be called ANGEL cakes because that is what you are! I am a big fan all the way from New Zealand, unfortunately I suffer from PCOS and cannot eat Dairy, Gluten or Sugar so seeing what you have done inspires me that I can indeed have my cake and eat it too!!!!! (WITHOUT the side effects)
Anyway PICK ME PICK ME- My mouth is open and I am drooling in anticipation of what lies between the cover of that beautiful recipe book!!!!
How wonderful to see Erin on Martha's show and to learn about Babycakes and most expecially the cookbook. About 6 months ago I was diagnosed with Celiac disease and of course must be gluten free. I had never even heard of Celiac disease so I've had to learn a lot! I live in rural south Georgia about 2 hours away from any major city (Savannah, Macon, or Jax, FL). Therefore it's difficult to get gluten free prepared foods. I try to make a monthly trip to a larger city to get ingredients for preparing my food. I have not been able to find a good cookbook especially one for cookies etc. I have always liked to bake and would be so excited to have a copy of the cookbook. Maybe one day I'll even be lucky enough to make it to NYC and visit Babycakes! That would be a special treat! Again thanks for all your hard work in preparing the cookbook.
I would so love an autographed cookbook!!! I took my mom into the city on Sunday for brunch with two goals in mind. A dee-lish vegan brunch at Kate's Joint, followed by a trip to BabyCakes, where we were to stuff our faces with yummy vegan sweets and buy the new cookbook. Unfortunatley we got a tad bit off path and never made it to BabyCakes. I was bummed beyond belief. But you know what could make that bummin' feelin' go away? A free, signed BabyCakes cookbook, but of course! ;)
I've been vegan for over three years and an addict of anything and everything sweet for over 25 years. Please help me get my yummy vegan, sweet fix! I'll love you forever and ever.
PS I'm a poor...very, very poor graduate student. I don't know if you'll sympathize with my situation or not, but what the hell. Pulling the pity card is worth a shot! haha.
Thanks so much and good luck to everyone!
xxoo
Hello blogistas! I have to be honest, I am a healthy, animal-eating, selfish, college graduate and i would love nothing more than to have this book for... myself! God Bless these people with disease, allergies, and ailments. Yes i have an intolerance to dairy but that doesn't stop me from eating it. This is just an honest, straight-forward, down on bended knee plea! I would love to have this book!... for myself. I love cookbooks! I go to Barnes & Noble for fun for goodness sakes! Please! Thank you in advance :)
Well, I am hoping to open my own little bakery heaven soon, back in Manchester, England where I live and am currently doing as much research as possible to help me achieve this...including flying out to NYC in two weeks' time to visit as many cupcakeries and bakeries as I can in six days! Needless to say, if I were able to pick up my own free copy of your book en route, you would know that you have personally contributed to helping people across the pond share in the sheer ecstasy that is eating your first sandwich cookie!
I don't have any elaborate story to tell like evryone else.
I like sweet stuff. And truly, I'm just hungry, bored and want a cookbook.
YES PLZZZZZZ
Feed my insatiable need to get frisky in the kitchen and tame my sweet tooth!
pleasepleasepleaseplease (with a sprinkle of agave on top!)
I live on a working cattle ranch in Montana. There are very few vegan, gluten-free, raw anything out here. The good-natured, hard-working folks here in the badlands of Montana are so thirsty for this, they are willing to drink the sand in this vegetarian desert. I would like to give them a sampling of crystal clear sparkling water to wash down the chocolate chip sandwich cookies from Erin's Babycakes cookbook.
Yayayayayyay, Finally the cookbook is out!!!!
I can't wait to buy it to bring Babycakes joy to Lonndon :DDDDDDDDD
xx
News of this cookbook traveled across many oceans, survived a Typhoon, all the way to Asia. I am a celiac, sensitive to dairy and almost everything else...IN TAIWAN! I am worlds away from walking into your bakery and indulging on a cupcake, I can only dream of such delights. Being the land of rice...EVERYTHING...you'd think this island would be a celiacs paradise. IT IS NOT. Maybe it's because I have yet to learn GLUTEN FREE in Chinese.. but it's hard enough trying to get them to hold just the cheese. Involves a lot of arm flailing, perhaps moo-ing like a cow so they know it's something from the cow you don't want. My cuisine in Taiwan is limited, limited to rice, vegetables I've never seen or heard of before, it's a challenge to eat, it's bland and boring, forget deserts.
I stumbled upon the Babycakes scone and brownie recipe 3 years ago in Ottawa (I'm Canadian, living in Taiwan teaching). I would wip up scones every weekend in almost minutes, and for my fellow food allergy friends, I'd bake brownies by the dozens, ice them with an almond tofu and carob icing, and build them into a towering cake for birthdays. Before discovering Babycakes, I never got to indulge on the sweetest things in life, the sweetest edible things, that is. I couldn't order this cookbook even if I tried, probably because Taiwan Google would somehow manage to transform the order form into beautifully complex Chinese characters. Please, send some recipes to me, send me the guidebook to welcoming cupcakes into my Taiwacky Chinese life. This would be the greatest gift to an oh so sensitive tummy that lacks much fun in its days of digesting. Or at least send me a cupcake. PLEASE.
I love Babycakes. Babycakes, love me.
pretty please? with icing on top?
To be able to add the Babycakes cookbook to my kitchen would be a delight.
I just hope that my other cookbooks, surely jealous, will not pick a fight.
From this magical book of vegan baking secrets, I hope to uncover
Amazing goodie recipes to please even a tough critic, my mother.
The recipe for Babycakes incredible frosting is what I wish to learn the most.
For directly into my mouth this sweet addictive medicine will be dosed.
So if you would be kind enough to give me an autographed copy for free,
Eternally grateful, very thankful, and extremely happy, I would be. : - )
By the way, I am attending the Thursday book signing event,
And everything that I have written above – I truly meant!
Loved your segment on Martha Stewart! We have been looking high and low for fun baking options that are wheat and dairy-free!
My 5-year old daughter's best friend has multiple food allergies. We are often looking for ways to include our friend in festivities, but find that most recipes are not very fun or yummy. Both girls love to bake--and would love to spend more time together in the kitchen. We'd love to have a whole book of ideas for ways to bake and share with our little friend.
Thanks for writing this book!
My friend Kathy told me about your bakery and blog - she loves your site! Kathy is very ill with chronic pain that the doctors can't seem to diagnose. She has tried just about everything and is very conscious about what she eats. We have recently started talking about and reading about gluten-free diets. I would love to receive the cookbook so I could make her a few tasty gluten-free treats - a bright spot in her usually pain-filled days. She doesn't bake, but I love to, so I would be happy to do the baking and test them out on my buddy!! Thank you!!! Peggy
BABYCAKKKKES!!!
I have long been a dedicated fan of these delightful little wonders through the times when I believed I had a gluten allergy to the present (having no allergy whatsoever....go figure!). But, after avoiding gluten for a year, there is one great positive I came away with....or several little ones...and those are the desserts that I have found here. It brings a smile to my face to walk into the little shop and to walk out with a cupcake in hand, feeling like a little kid who just stumbled onto a simple treasure. Thank you so much for working around the clock to bring people together for the simple joys and treats in this world....even if they do have food allergies. Because everyone should enjoy life and babycakes. Thanks again guys, and keep rockin the sweet world.
Hungry tummy craves good food (must be yummy.) Desperately seeking a healthy relationship with my dessert. Looking for recipes that are beautiful inside and out. Mouth-watering photos are a bonus. Must be vegan. Come to me, Sweetness, I know you're out there.
Coming from a vegan homemaker (and new momma!), I have the challenge (nay privilege!) of preparing daily home-cooked cruelty free meals for my wonderful family. Recently, I have been very intrigued with creating delicious baked goods and have heard nothing but wonderfulness about Ms. McKenna's critically acclaimed bakery. I would love nothing more than to recreate these decadent goodies and pay respects to the mistress of vegan baked goods!!
p.s. Today is my birthday so this would be a great present from you guys!! :)
p.p.s. I wrote a fantastic post earlier and for some reason it never posted!! (aaargh!) (just thought you guys should know..) namaste!
I just had a baby girl last month. We named her Scout. When I made her birth announcements, I did a girl scout cookie box. I named the cookies "Baby Cakes Cookies". I posted the announcement here: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2541147&l=65b0f3109e&id=546233124
Just today, my mother found your book on Amazon while looking for a GFCF cupcake recipe for my five year old daughters birthday party next week. She has autism and is intollerant to Gluten and Casein. This will be her first birthday party, because the last few years she didn't understand birthdays. We'd love to find new recipes for her, and your bakery sounds fabulous! This book would be the perfect birthday present for Mira.
I LOVE BabyCakes cupcakes!! Every time I go below 14th street on the east side I always end up at BabyCakes. As a law school student on the UWS, I don't really have much time to go downtown...or meander around under those cute little cupcakes yell my name. I am trying to get my friends around me to understand and adopt the vegan lifestyle...recipes to your yummiest treats would make my job so much easier!
Thanks!
Adrienne
After a year of cooking for my granddaughter who is allergic to both gluten and casein products as well as a host of other foods, I was excited to see a cookbook that illustrated delicious looking cupcakes...and chocolate cupcakes no less! Desserts are my passion, so if you could give me recipes that are delicious and healthy and appealing, I would use those recipes non-stop. I'm excited to see the cookbook in my hands to look at the photos, review the recipes, shop for the ingredients and then spend time in my kitchen recreating your beautiful foods.
oh god...I just saw about the 5 books to win...;I was so excited...but I read and what did I see, Only for US consumers!!!
I'm french and I just came back from NY where I discovered your incredibles cupcakes. It's a compliment! french people are not so "opened-stomached", believe me...I must admit I first start with Magnolia Bakery but, I hope I won't choke any one, it was not so good...you win gold medal easaly!
Soft but not to sweet...a real pleasure to eat it outside, on your chair. I'm a Ladurée addict here. But I was living in NY, I will certainly be a Babycakes one.
Kudos...but so sad for the book
hello. my name is elizabeth. im 20 years old and split my time between ohio, indiana, and maine. i stopped eating refined sugar (for the second time) 3.5 years ago, and white wheat flour 3 years ago. literally everytime i come home to ohio i spend hours in the kitchen trying to whip up a delicious sugar free and whole grain dessert. and each and every time i fail. and then i mega fail becaue my mother gets mad at me for 1 spending $50 on ingredients 2 oftentimes not eating the $50 worth of ingredients as whatever it was i was trying to make is actually disgusting and 3 using an entire stick of butter in oatmeal raisin cookies. so anyways, she is tired of me experimenting and im tired of not having eaten a proper dessert in over 3 years. so anyways i think we would all really appreciate if you would so graciously give me a cook book full for delicious recipes that i can eat. that is all. okay thanks.
oh also, i almost decided to go to my cousins graduation in ny just so i could get myself a cupcake. and by going to the graduation i actually mean getting my grandmother to pay for a plane ticket to new york solely so that i can get something to eat from your bakery.
Although I have not yet tasted one of your babycake delights, I am now making it a mission.
The man I love was just diagnosed with severe gluten intolerance. Though it's a relief and an explanation to the doubling pain and mad dashes to the little-boy's-room, he was saddened. The only person who could come close to matching his undying adoration of the consumption of sweet treats (or 'nosh') was me, and i LOVE to nosh.
Moreover, I love to bake for us both to enjoy. Now that we know that we must live the gluten free lifestyle, I am on an important mission to find ways to modify our kitchen habits, so that I can make delicious cookies, and cakes (possibly babycakes?!) for MY babycake, that will warm his heart and not hurt his belly.
I know that good food can bring people closer, and I know that this cookbook will provide not only treats that taste good, but that are good for my man.
g-free love <3
I bought the book. It's gorgeous! My daughter (wheat and milk sensitive just like you) and I have been trying out the recipes. Wow! Gluten free bakery stuff that doesn't gag me. I mean it really tastes good! I'm SO glad you gave us some resources to help us out in the wheat and animal farm center of the midwest. I only wish we were closer to New York to try out the bakery. Now, since she's going back to college to her own apartment, we have this problem.... WHO GETS THE BOOK? Maybe you can help us out, because this one could get ugly.
My, how will you choose. I would so love to have this cookbook, I saw the show and wish I lived in new york instead of florida, I was laid off in October after 15 years, still no job so I cant buy wonderful cookbooks anymore. Even if I dont win, I keep looking for her recipes and web site and dream of babycakes yummies
i'm a newly turned vegan (1 month and counting :) and need something to help me stay on the vegan boat! help! i think this cookbook would be perfect! :)
i want to woo my wife with delicious baked goods and sweet treats! she is vegan and nothing makes her happier than a vegan cupcake (well...besides me haha
I would love this cookbook to bake for my dairy/egg sensitive son! Sounds delicious!
Dear Erin, I am 4 years old and I had my first cupcake at your bakery this past Saturday. I am from Boston. I have allergies to Gluten, Dairy, Soy, and Eggs. My favorite part of the cupcake was the frosting! My mommy took pictures of me with my face smothered in chocolate. mmmm mmmm Goood! It really made my day and I think my mommy will probably be happy for the rest of the year! Thanks to your staff, we were able to buy a whole bunch, take it home with us and freeze them, so that I can enjoy them anytime I want. Thank you for creating this bakery and sharing your recipes.
I can't wait to try out the brownie that my mom packed for me in my lunch bag today! Love, Tyler
Hi Erin,
I first read about Babycakes in a February issue where they was an article and a picture of your delicious cupcakes. My niece has debilitating allergies to gluten, dairy, soy, etc., I took a ride to Babycakes and I just about picked up one of everything, I then drove to Connecticut and suprised my niece with the treats. The look on her face was better then I expected. Knowing she didn't get sick from your treats was heaven sent. I'dlove one your cookbooks.
P.S. Connecticut could use a Babycakes. Thanks.
after anxiously awaiting the babycakes cookbook, i ran to the bookstore and combed the aisles. i found one copy, grabbed it and held it tight as if someone would wrestle in from my arms. i scurried home and looked at it cover to cover, mentally planning my baking frenzy. my girlfriend stopped by and excitedly, i showed it to her and immediately felt a bit of guilt that i didn't get her a copy, after all she's the gluten-intolerant one not me (i just like to eat healthy). so if i win, i'd give the cookbook to her so can enjoy the glorious treats and so my guilt will disappear. plus, her birthday is coming up, and it'd make a perfect gift.
Babycakes is such a cute shop and located in such a bohemian area, reminiscent of better times. Erin's establishing this shop is such a god send for my grandson, and his autism is more in check when he can be rewarded for his good behavior. Does Erin know how many people she is helping with this book? I would easily guess millions; not just those who have food allergies, but also those who choose to live vegan and be healthier. God bless
The only place I miss in NYC is babycakes...I'd move back just for some vegan treats!!! j'adore babycakes!!!!!
Babycakes is not another fun, trendy sweet shop in NYC. It is a food revolution. Wheat, sugar, and soy are foods that we all should all be careful of. The overproduction and over consumption of this foods can lead to various digestion disorders. It is hard to find a good conscious bakery today in a fast paced world run by sugar and coffee. I am from NYC and have gone to babycakes many times. Now I live in Berkeley California and I can not find anything close to what you offer. Will you open in Northern California?, we would love you here.
Thank you Babycakes for being smart, friendly, conscious and beyond all the tastiest bakery in the world!
Erin/Baby Cakes is awesome! I have been hoping to discover healthy g-f dessert recipes without 2/3 of the flour ingredients consisting of non-nutritious tapioca flour and corn starch. Plus healthier fats, sweeteners, fiber, etc. I was diagnosed with celiac disease 19 years ago and have learned to do g-f well but this recipe book is really exciting. I would love to receive a copy and will spread the word! Thanks.
Sorry, sent the wrong email address with my comment, sent a minure ago.
My 5-month old baby Scarlett was just given the cutest "Babycakes NYC" t-shirt. My friend was raving about how yummy the cupcakes are. She swore that although they are both vegan AND healthy, I'd never know by tasting them.
I sure wish we had a "Babycakes LA".
Back in college I worked in a bakery. Although I primarily baked bread, I would assist the pastry chef around holidays when we were overwhelmed by lots of orders. So I learned to bake cakes, pies, tarts, etc.
Now I'm an acupuncturist and herbalist - committed to a healthy lifestyle. I'm also a new mom. I want Scarlett to have a fun childhood and have a positive relationship with food. I don't want her to feel "deprived" when other kids are eating sweets, but I also believe that sugar is detrimental to good health. I'm really eager to try some of your recipes -- not only for Scarlett's enjoyment, but also to share with my patients who I help with a holistic lifestyle. Let's spread the word that healthy eating can also be exciting and super-delicious!! Thanks for all you do!
I am in love with these cupcakes.
I live in portland oregon, where we have a very good vegan bakery (sugary though), and a few that make vegan cupcakes. Also there is a donut restaurant with lots of vegan donut flavors (for anyone visiting soon).
I love cupcakes. A lot. And I cannot eat the milk. And refined/cane sugar gives me trouble too, but sometimes I deal with it for cupcakes.
I love them so.
They are the right size and shape and...
But I was in nyc a few days ago, staying in battery park city (where my husband's company has an apartment, and took a train and walked a mile or so to get 2 of these amazing cupcakes. I went right before the flight home, and brought the cupcakes back to share with my husband before the flight.
We usually split a cupcake and save one (to split later... at least the cupcakes we usually get). But we scarfed them.
These are the best cupcakes I have ever had.
I love them.
Thank you for helping me love the cupcakes and NOT HAVE STOMACH CRAMPS AFTERWARD!!!!!!! I love you!
Also the cupcakes were beautiful.
The frosting is the best frosting I have ever had, hands down.
I am gushing, but I am sincere.
Thank you for rocking the entire earth.
Love, Katie Spain
I am totally addicted to sweets - and have passed the tendency on to my 2 1/2 year old as well. We are a vegan family and I am always in the kitchen trying to whip up healthy baked goods and scrumptious meals to satisfy even the strongest of my cravings.
Since I have gallbladder disease I am suppose to avoid gluten and sugar products (as well as almost every other guilty pleasure!) as much as possible, so this book would be a treasure to have.
I heard about it from my dear ol sis who also has the disease and am enthralled by all the yummy treats she keeps telling me about. ( I would go snatch her copy if she didn't live over 3000 miles away!)
Even if I don't win an autographed copy - I want to tell you guys that you are awesome and keep up the good, and delicious, work!! I admire company's that honor the planet by being green.

My Babycakes haiku
all anxiety
babycakes is here, thank god
now life is yummy
I came accross an article about your cookbook in Clean Eating Magazine while at the book store. I imediatly went to find it because not only am I passionate about good food and food that is good for you I have many friends who have a lot of different allergies. Being someone who loves to bake it was always such a disappointment not being able to bring treats that everyone can enjoy. Glancing through your book was amazing I felt so empowered reading it and came home to look at your site. Working at Babycakes would be like an absolute dream for me, if I could at least have your beautiful book maybe I could pretend I am living out that dream at home in my own tiny kitchen.
Um, just curious about the coincidence, but is the shop named after the Neil Gaiman short story?
I would like some information as well as your help please. We started a program 3 yrs ago called Christmas With Care. We are a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Through out the yr we have fund raiser events then take 100% of the money to purchase new House Shoes and Pajamas for the residents that live in Nursing Homes for Christmas. Last yr we gave out 691 gifts to 14 different homes. We have a couple of big events coming up on November 7, 14, 21, at the Harley Davidson of Dallas. We are having an auction and raffle. We were wondering if you all might be interested in helping us out by donating a few cookbooks of your choice? These books will be put into a basket and either raffled or auctioned off. Any help you can give us will be more than greatly appreciated. If you should find it in your heart to want to help and need more information, please contact us.

I recently went to a friend's who specially crafted the Fatty Pants Triple Chocolate Cake for my dear little Celiac Daughter... OMGosh!!! It was incredible. I have been craving it ever since (and really I have NEVER craved any of my daughters GF food...) Sadly my library system does not carry BabyCakes. :( So a free copy would be FANTABULOUS!! 'Cause it would be great for my daughter's GF diet... that's why... and not for me at all!!!
Hi,
I read your story in the Guide Post the day after I learned that gluten & sugar free are something that may help my medical conditions.
Also I learned that a certain blend of mushrooms from China are excellent for diabetic's, cancer fighters, Autistic cures and many many other health related diseases.
I decided to start the process of going gluten free to better my health along with consuming these mushrooms. I am not looking for a free book (but it would be nice) as much as I am wanting to offer your clients a way to add to their diet something that could improve their health along with your recipe. The mushrooms have huge benefits and people already on your diet would benefit immensely form adding them to their diet.
Going to buy your book soon glad to hear about your success.
God bless

I read the article in "Guideposts," and I was so excited that you started this bakery. It is healthier if everyone ate less sugar and gluten free goods without having to sacrifice taste and cravings for chocolate. It's helpful for dieters. Please send me a cookbook. I will share it with my children to make healthier treats for their kids and a young mother at church who has two boys that have food allergies. I am pleased you are opening a bakery in California. I live in Orange County, but LA is only one hour or so away. It would be well worth the trip to visit your store. Please keep me informed. Thank you and have a blessed day.
Our family has several members who are celiac so this book woulf really help. We ( my daughter and I ) are just learning about cookin without wheat(gluten). Two granddaughters (12&14 ) are learning to cook so this would be great for them. They both make pie crust from scratch and great pies!
I have been a Guidepost reader for years. Loved the article that was in there about your bakery.Wish we had one close to us! I would love to have the book. At least we could bake some of your great recipes at home. Happy Holidays! God bless!
Hi I'm Dave Holub I have type two Diabetes its sort of Borderline but I still have to meter check. I am looking for recipes that are vegan and that will not rise my diabetes. plus I have a Leg Infection like a Staff Infection that I get every other month I am hoping a change of diet might help this. I can not afford the 24.00 for the book right now.
I am a fan of BabyCakes and I think that they are delicious. I have the cookbook and my kids and I love to make it every day. I am glad to have a vegan recipe for a delicious dessert! I am lactose and tolerant, but I am glad of it because I don't like to eat any sort of dairy or eggs because it is unhealthy. Thank you, BabyCakes for making my life so much easier to eat desserts!
