Hey! Bakery update time!
We're in LA right now putting finishing touches on the bakery (that's the talented Lisa Donohoe painting our sign) and waiting for the Fire and Health Departments to get their post-holiday buns down here and give us the green light so we can open already! Jeeeeeez. I want you all to know we are just as anxious as you are for this opening and we are doing everything in our power to get this thing cranking by this weekend. Believe me, I CANNOT WAIT to get back in the kitchen--I am having some serious separation anxiety from the frosting, it's pretty pathetic.

i haven't had your treats since i was last in NYC three years ago. i walked by last night and took a peek in. the shop looks great and i must say, it's a great location. thanks for coming to the historic core/old bank district (not too sure what the neighborhood is officially called).
I hope you post lots of photos of your LA shop. I loved the styling and photos of Babycakes NYC in the cookbook, so I'd love to see more!

The bakery will be located at 130 East 6th Street between South Main and South Los Angeles. We can't wait to see you there!

Cajeta- Take the redline to Pershing square. Walk one block north to 6th. Go east on 6th. The bakery is on the right hand side between Main and Los Angeles.
