If you've noticed the blog has been a little bare lately it's because I was busy getting married last Saturday (that's me and my dad upper left)! I had no idea how incredibly emotional the whole thing would be, but I think it had a lot to do with my sister Bridget's dreamy planning--we got married under the ribbon draped tree (she designed the whole thing AND hosted it in her backyard). And of course the groom. Devra and Harris from our downtown LA store made the cake and it was scarfed up in seconds and drop dead gorgeous--I promise to post a photo of it when I get my hands on it.
I will share more details later, I swear!

I don't think I ever shared with you how much I LOVE your bakery! In June 2010, I was on a NYC and Washington DC guided tour with other 7th and 8th graders (I'm 14 and homeschooled-- but I took the school trip). We were in Little Italy for shopping and dinner, and I had previously known you were near. A tour guided walked with me up to the bakery for me to get some goodies for my gluten-free vegan self while every one was going up the Empire State building (I still went up- just separately. It was a bit of a fiasco, but SO worth it).
I bought quite a lot of baked goods (so I'd have some to bring home to the family). By the time we got to the bakery, it was about 6:30 pm- so there wasn't a TON of stuff left. But everything I got was out of this world delicious. I especially enjoyed the oatmeal raisin cookie sandwich, the cinnamon toatsie slice (best texture!), and the brownie cupcake (chocolatey heaven!). I must say you weren't kidding in your cookbook when you said the frosting is great-- it's the best around!

Congrats! I can't wait to see pictures of the cake. I think Devra and Harris also worked on my bday cake a few months ago, so I know it probably looked out of this flippin world great and tasted like clouds and great stuff. Because that's what BabyCakes frosting tastes like...Clouds.

CONGRATS!!!! I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! So does this mean that Babycakes will be making wedding cakes now? I sure hope so since I am getting married in June 2010!
