Donuts! Waffles! Madeleines! Mounds! My New Video

BabyCakes Covers the Classics: From Donuts to Snickerdoodles. It's the New Cookbook!!! from BabyCakes NYC on Vimeo.

Hello again, Friends and Loved Ones. I have a new cookbook! It's called "BabyCakes Covers the Classics: Gluten-Free Vegan Recipes from Donuts to Snickerdoodles." I featured but a small sampling of the new desserts in the above video, because, what?, was I really expected to feature ALL 50 of the recipes included in this book that is now available for pre-order wherever you buy your favorite reading materials online and will be in actual stores on April 12, 2011, for not even that much money? That would take forever. You'd turn it off before you ever got to the Thin Mints, or the Whoopie Pies, or the Pancakes, or the Hamentashen, or the German Chocolate Cake, or the Sugar Cookies... it would be like 45 minutes long! I'm hoping Donuts, Waffles, Mounds, and Madeleines are plenty for you to see all the exciting places this book of recipes is going and will take you.

This thing was directed by David Mettler, produced by David Mettler and Chris Cechin, and edited by Justin Gallaher. It was also shot by David Mettler. Lastly, David Mettler, David Mettler. Thanks to Clarkson Potter for publishing another book for me! BOOKS!

Very nice. Can't wait for April. Even my kids are enjoying eating gluten free. You guys are awesome. Can't wait until I see babycakes on every corner of every street in the US.

Erin, I can't wait to have your new cookbook!!!!I have the first one and I love it! Sometimes I replace the fours (garbanzo- fava beans for rice flour) and the coconut oil for grapessed or cannola and the some of recipes work nicely! But I am a little disappointed with this new video... you don't wear any nail polish, sad nails, hum....ha,ha,ha... Please, NY Baby Cakes in Singapore, please!!! Congrats!

What a darling video! Everything looks delicious! Suggestion: As a wiewer of "The View" I see that Elisabeth Hasselbeck eats "gluten free". Maybe you could contact her to see about getting on the show.

I can't really convey how excited I am about this upcoming cookbook. My daughter (16 months) has been diagnosed with a wheat, egg and dairy allergy and as an avid baker, my heart hurt knowing she wouldn't know the joys of pastry and baked treats as she grows up. While she's obviously quite young and doesn't need sweet treats as part of her everyday, I love knowing that she can have a muffin just like Mummy and Daddy. I've gone through nearly half of the first cookbook without a disappointment, and I'm sure the love will continue with this next instalment. Truly thrilled that we will be able to have waffles as a family on weekends! Thanks ever so much for sharing. :o)

I'm looking forward to the new book as well. The video was great.

This video is rad! I pre-ordered my book and anxiously awaiting its arrival! I want to make the donuts first, I was wondering if you know a good brand for a donut pan? Thanks and Cheers!

What a cute video - I am sure the book will be just as great. Congrats!!!

I just picked up a copy of your new cookbook to add to my Babycakes collection. I am so excited! All these recipes look so yummy. Both my kids are allergic to wheat, gluten and dairy and I'm going Vegan. My kids and I are going to have so much fun making these recipes and eating them too! Sidenote-My daughter's 6th birthday is this Saturday and I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes, a dozen brownies, and a dozen chocolate chip cookies (shipping to Chicago from your LA store) for her party! Can't wait to taste them straight from your Babycakes Kitchen! :) Thank you, Erin!

Hi Erin, Your video is super cute and funny. What a brilliant creation. YUM YUM!
It would be awesome if there is Baby-Cakes shop in Qatar,Doha. The Arabs love love everything sweeeet! The huge population of expats would be so glad to have this healthier version of desserts, as well for the vegans. Best wishes!
